Often called spirit lights, orbs are quite a mystery and many high profile paranormal investigators are keen to do more research on this subject. First photographed by American researchers about ten years ago, they appear as whisps of cloudlike vapour, globules of soft, mystical light or as tiny flashing pinpoints of light, and they move either by slowly floating or hovering or quickly flashing along bearing a tail like a comet They vary in size, colour, speed and number, some congregate together forming pictures.
They are thought to be life forms from the spirit realms that wish to communicate with us and appear in this way in order to reserve the large amount of energy that is required
for materialising into human form. On closer inspection, even the smallest orbs often have patterns or faces within them.
If you would like to try to photograph an orb, it is best to go to a cemetery, haunted house or Spiritualist church meeting. Ask your spirit guide to invite the orbs to appear. At first you might see delicate whisps of light or smoky mists and then dots and flashes of orbs might appear. As they seem to be attracted to flash photography, use a flash even if it is a clear sunlit day.
